Principal / Vocational Expert
Paul Genco

Paul Genco holds a Bachelor's of Arts in Marketing from Southeastern Louisiana University, a Master's of Science in Healthcare Management from the University of New Orleans, and a Master's of Science in Rehabilitation Counseling from Southern University. Before working as a vocational expert, his experience in rehabilitation ranged from rehabilitation technician to program director, assisting with overseeing multiple successful Brain Injury CARF Accreditations.
Paul Genco is a licensed rehabilitation counselor and a board-approved supervisor in the state of Louisiana. Additionally, he holds national certifications as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, Certified Medicare Secondary payor Professional, and Certified Life Care Planner.
Paul Genco is dedicated to serving people with disabilities through his advocacy work. He has represented the State of Louisiana as an appointee of Governor John Bel Edwards, serving on his Council on Rehabilitation from 2017 to 2022. Since 2008, he has held multiple roles on the Board of Directors for the Brain Injury Association of Louisiana as well as a past board member of the Louisiana Brain Injury Trust Fund. Additionally, Paul Genco has served on Touro Rehabilitation’s Advisory Council from 2010 to 2013. He is a current member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and serves on the board of the Louisiana chapter, specifically as a member of the legislative committee.
Paul Genco has expertise in vocational rehabilitation assessments, testing, labor market analysis, earning capacity evaluations, workers’ compensation policies and procedures. He is also experienced in case management, life care planning, and medical cost analysis.
In addition to his work with brain and spinal cord injury cases, Paul Genco has expertise in maritime matters, as well as cases involving PTSD and heart-lung conditions.
Clinical Consultant / Licensed Physical Therapist
Megan Genco

Megan Genco is a dedicated physical therapist with over 15 years of experience in post-acute care, primarily in inpatient rehabilitation. Known for her patient-centered approach and interdisciplinary collaboration, Megan brings a strong clinical background in treating adult and geriatric populations with complex neuromuscular, musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, and respiratory conditions.
Megan is a skilled and compassionate physical therapist with extensive experience treating a diverse patient population, including individuals with brain and spinal cord injuries, multiple sclerosis, liver and kidney transplants, critical illness myopathy, amputations, and major multiple trauma. She is passionate about helping patients achieve meaningful recovery and improved quality of life through personalized, evidence-based care. In addition to her clinical expertise, she is highly proficient in performing custom wheelchair evaluations in collaboration with an Assistive Technology Professional (ATP), ensuring that each patient receives mobility solutions tailored to their unique needs and goals.
She has served in both clinical and leadership roles, including Lead Physical Therapist, and is passionate about delivering high-quality care and optimizing patient outcomes. Megan holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from LSU Health Sciences Center and a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of New Orleans.
In addition to her clinical work, Megan also serves as a clinical consultant for Vocational Experts in traumatic cases. In this role, she reviews and interprets physical therapy records to provide informed opinions on functional abilities, limitations, and rehabilitation outcomes. Her expertise supports the vocational assessment process, particularly in determining an individual’s capacity to return to work or adapt to alternative job functions following injury or illness through her direction in assistive technology.
Megan is currently pursuing a professional certification in life care planning.
Case Manager
Amber Marcus

Amber Marcus is a Case Manager with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Disabilities in Society from the University of Florida. Her academic background combines the study of human behavior with a focused understanding of how disability impacts individuals, families, and communities.
Through her interdisciplinary minor, Amber explored disability-related policies, inclusion practices, and the societal perceptions of disability across educational, workplace, and healthcare settings. This knowledge directly informs her work in vocational rehabilitation and life care planning.
In her role, Amber supports the work of licensed professionals by assisting with research, data analysis, case documentation, and report preparation related to vocational assessments and wage loss evaluations. She is committed to promoting equity and accessibility for individuals with disabilities and to supporting evidence-based, person-centered rehabilitation services.
Amber plans to pursue a master’s degree in counseling, with the goal of continuing to serve individuals with disabilities through direct clinical practice and advocacy.
